The Department of Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) at Avicenna Medical Complex, G-9/1, Islamabad, provides comprehensive diagnostic and surgical care for disorders of the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck. The department manages both routine and complex ENT conditions with an emphasis on patient safety and evidence-based practice.
Scope of Care
- • Otology: Hearing loss, ear infections, vertigo, and disorders of the middle and inner ear.
- • Rhinology: Sinusitis, nasal obstruction, allergy, and disorders of the nose and paranasal sinuses.
- • Laryngology: Voice disorders, throat infections, and swallowing difficulties.
- • Head & Neck: Evaluation and management of head and neck masses and related conditions.
Academic & Training Role
As part of a teaching hospital, the department actively contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. Training programs are supervised by experienced ENT consultants in accordance with recognized academic standards.
