The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Avicenna Medical Complex, G-9/1, Islamabad, provides comprehensive care for women across all stages of life, including pregnancy, childbirth, and disorders of the female reproductive system. The department delivers evidence-based, patient-centered services with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Scope of Care

  • • Obstetrics: Antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, including management of high-risk pregnancies.
  • • Gynecology: Diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant gynecological conditions.
  • • Maternal-Fetal Medicine: Advanced monitoring and management of complex pregnancies.
  • • Family Planning: Counseling and provision of contraceptive services.

Academic & Training Role

As a teaching department, Obstetrics and Gynecology actively participates in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. Clinical training and residency programs are supervised by experienced consultants in accordance with recognized training standards.
